About Us
GenWise is a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening student wellbeing through an integrative, evidence-based model grounded in psychology and human development. Our programs build core life skills like empathy, resilience, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and mindfulness, tailored to students’ developmental stages and everyday experiences. By working with students, teachers, and families together, GenWise is building happier, healthier, more connected school communities.
Our Program Model
A 4–6 week, school-based program for elementary, middle, and high school students that includes:
Weekly 1-2 hour student sessions
Daily mindfulness practice
One-day teacher training
Parent/guardian education and resources
Pre- and post-program assessment
Our evidence-based model is shown to:
Reduce anxiety, depression, anger, and disruptive behavior
Increase emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and wellbeing
Improve school satisfaction, family relationships, and performance

Outcomes
GenWise provides the skills to address societal problems that lead to thousands of deaths and cost billions annually through several social determinants of health. Our world is dealing with complex sociocultural and political issues that are adding to child & adolescent suffering as they faced with additional stressors in key developmental stages.

What is wisdom?
Wisdom is a set of skills that can be learned at any age. It’s outcomes offer benefits to positively grow and impact individuals and society.
GenWise presents a holistic model, based in psychological science, that applies a multifaceted set of wisdom skills to everyday life experiences, adapting to the age, education, background of the learner.
